NYT – Mexico is a big country — and there are plenty of ways to get around it. Which method is right for you depends on a few factors, including where you will be traveling, what sort of travel you are interested in, and, of course, cost.
Star-Telegram – American Airlines announced it will add six new routes to Mexico and Latin America this summer.
Sentido Comun – Volaris said it will open three new routes to connect two new destinations, the cities of Torreón and Durango, with Guadalajara and Tijuana.
Sentido Comun – United Airlines opened new headquarters in Mexico City at Avenida Paseo de la Reforma 250, 18th floor. An office for ticket sales will be on the ground floor.

AP – Mexico began accepting new bids on a multibillion-dollar high-speed rail project Wednesday, two months after the concession was abruptly canceled amid allegations of favoritism.
Sentido Comun – Volaris will open a new direct route between Houston and Guadalajara, which will strengthen its network connection between Mexico and the United States.
Sentido Comun – BMW, the FEC, Schneider Electric and Walmart established an alliance to launch 30 public charging stations for electric vehicles this year. The first four have been inaugurated.
Sentido Comun – Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, or GAP, said it plans to increase the number of passengers passing through its 12 airports by between 5 and 7 percent this year.
Sentido Comun -Pinfra, a construction and project manager infrastructure company, announced the opening of the Tlaxcala-Puebla highway after investing 800 million pesos ($54.7 million).
Sentido Comun – Pacific Airport Group, or GAP, a company that manages 12 airports in Central and Pacific Mexico, said passenger traffic at its terminals last month rose 1.2 percent over the same period last year.
Sentido Comun -Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, or Asur, with nine air terminals in southeastern Mexico, said the number of passengers visiting its airports increased 11.6 percent in December, the 46th consecutive increase.
Carib Journal – American Airlines has signed a codeshare agreement with Mexican air carrier Interjet. The agreement paves the way for new services to a number of destinations in Mexico.
Golf Channel – Tiger Woods officially opened El Cardonal at Diamante in Cabo San Lucas, the first Woods-designed course to reach completion. Woods saw three prior designs – in Dubai, in Mexico and in North Carolina – all abandoned because of downturns in the economy.
